DIRECTIONS

If the directions below don't work for you, you can also use the
GoogleMaps link on the right side of the page.

If you are coming from the west (Austin, etc):
Take HWY 71 East to Smithville exit (hwy 153, 95)
Go back under the freeway to the left....

If you are coming from the east (Houston, etc):
Take I-10 to HWY 71 West.
Take Smithville exit (hwy 153, 95) to the left...

Then,
Go back under the freeway to the left. Stay on Hwy 153 - past Beuscher State Park and Rocky Hill Ranch When you get to the top of the hill at the water tower with a smile Hwy 153 goes to the right and Hwy 2104 is straight. Stay straight on 2104. You will go past a ranch on the left with lions at the gate and then a pink house on the left, also with lions at the gate. Then you go by two electrical towers. Turn left at the next street - NINK. It turns to the right about ¼ mile. Keep going about another 3 miles and on the left is BECK turn left and go to the end. Turn right at the 'T' and go to the next street on the left. That's Cricket Hollow Lane where the row of mail boxes are. Go to the 5th ranch on the left with the zig zag fence. The number is #157.

Call land line if you get lost 1-512-237-9691

If you are coming on HWY 290

Take Hwy 290 E through Elgin another 16 or so miles to Paige
In Paige turn Right (South) at the Chevron Hwy 2104
Stay on 2104 until your get to Freirich Road (my spelling may be off)
Turn Right on Freirich and follow until you reach Nink.
Turn Left on Nink
Then go about 2 miles until you get to Beck Rd on the right hand side. Beck only goes to the right. Keep a look out because the trees hide the street from this angle. Turn Right on Beck Rd (white road)
At the end of the road turn Right which is still Beck Rd
Go up about .3 miles and turn Right on Cricket Hollow Ln (no sign, you will see row of mail boxes)

(Un)fortunate Oversight

Earlier this week I added a post on special April birthdays (other than my own). I realized after the fact, that list was missing one very important name: Tiny.

Anyway, Tiny turned 10 this month. That is 56 in cat years. I can disclose that info here because a) she cant read typed english and b) she looks young for her age, so who cares.

I guess its all for the best. i mean, since the feline gestation period is much different from a human's, it wouldn't have made much sense to include her in that post anyway. secondly, forgetting to include her the first time around gave me time have this way fancy birthday portrait taken.

July, Popular Month for Parents to Have Sex

As much as I like to think I am special, alas, I am not. There exist many a birthday in this, the fairest month of them all.

In fact, each of the good folks below not only have an April birthday, but will be at the Toad House this weekend!

** Elizabeth Kyle (Momma) - April 19th**
** Jenny Diamond (Jenny D.) - April 22nd **
** Anthony Ware (Brother-in-Law) - April 30th **
** Jacquie Harborth (Dan's Momma) - April 30th **
And do you know what that means?? It means we've got an MBP on our hands!!! That's a Multi-Birthday-Party, and for those of you who don't know about them... you better ask somebody. Because they are awesome!

So, come on out to the Toad House to not only "celebrate" my 30th year, but all the other b-days in da house.

Did I miss anyone?? Please let me know!

I also want to send a special "HAPPY APRIL BIRTHDAY" out to two of my favorite people in the world:

    Morgan Sack - April 8th

    Jenn Welch  - April 28th

Hey! You there! Are you a fan of "Jenny D" ?

Because if you are, you had better get to the Toad House this weekend!

Not only because it's her birthday, but since she has made the following claim:

... This will be a combination of forces and a weekend not to be missed. Also, there might be a second cake (obviously not the miracle that Angela is promising) but I try. So basically if you were on the fence before this should come. I will take cake and drink requests so fire away and comment on this post and the others below.

    See ya'll there!

    Jenny d. (Meme's biggest fan)

Sounds like this girl means business.

    Announcing... Skeet "Contest"

I have just been informed that there will be a skeet contest on Saturday afternoon. I think its mostly a way to keep the activity organized and whatnot. If you would like to take part, you should get to the Toad House sooner than later... because it's like, a day time activity. For those of you not interested, don't worry, the shooting will be a ways away from the rest of the party.

    Sister Promises Cake Miracle

So, my sister Angela has promised a special cake for my birthday. I love squirrels, and I suspect that will be the theme (namely, because that's what I requested). I can't wait to see what she comes up with... if someone would only fix the oven!
